Next annual WPPI Convention and Trade Show set for February 17–24, 2011

Culver City, CA (March 30, 2010) – Wrapping up its 30th year of educating photographers from around the world, Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) announces that it broke all previous attendance records with more than 14,500 registered attendees for its recently concluded WPPI 2010 Convention and Trade Show.

All WPPI 2010 classes, events and the trade show took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV, from March 4–11, 2010. WPPI is the largest annual expo and conference in the United States for professional photographers. Each year a growing number of professional photographers gather in Las Vegas, NV, to learn from the best and see the latest and greatest products from the hundreds of exhibitors that participate in the trade show.

“Once again the WPPI Convention and Trade Show proved to be the place for professional photographers to access the very best in intensive and empowering photographic education,” said George Varanakis, WPPI’s Group Publisher and Executive Vice President. “And with over 14,500 registered attendees, more than any other past convention in our history, WPPI was filled with photographers from all over the world learning about what is hip, hot and new in the business of professional photography. Our classes were packed with professional photographers eager to know how to improve their photography, imaging software and business skills to be the best they can be.”

WPPI 2010 hosted attendees and speakers from throughout the United States as well as from foreign countries as far away as Australia. In addition to more than 170 classes and workshops, WPPI again offered print and album competitions and Spanish language classes for attendees.

The annual WPPI 2011 Convention and Trade Show is set to take place next year at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV, from February 17–24, 2011.
