Japan's Ricoh Co. Ltd. has announced an updated firmware release for its ten megapixel CX3 digital camera.

Ricoh CX3 firmware v1.08 includes one change from the previous version, aiming to correct an issue with the movie mode. Previously, movies shot in the HD 1280 high definition mode could be played back incorrectly due to issues with readout speed. This has now been corrected. A fix made in the previous release is also rolled into the new firmware. This corrected an issue whereby it wasn't possible to select images on page two or beyond of the date view.

The new firmware, as well as details on how to check your camera's current firmware version and to apply the firmware update if necessary, can be found on Ricoh's website.
