The UK's newest (and coolest) social networking business has finally launched. KoodibooK is an easy and fun way of sharing photos with friends and family, either in a unique and stunning 3D effect on-line or as a printed photo book.

(PRWEB) May 13, 2010 -- After two years of development and the last few months of testing with users in various parts of the world, KoodibooK, a new photo book business has been launched.

KoodibooK’s co- founder and CEO, Richard Godfrey said: “After such a huge effort it’s fantastic that our launch has gone so smoothly and successfully. The KoodibooK software has been received incredibly well and since launching we’ve already seen it downloaded in cities across 23 countries - from Boston to Brisbane. Outside of weddings, the idea of printing photobooks is a relatively new one in the UK, but in the United States, approximately 60% of households have created a printed record of family events or occasions. We think it’s a great way of creating a permanent record of something important, and the fact that people can publish the exact same photo book on-line, mobile and in print is an added bonus."

Originally founded in the Bath University Innovation Centre, the company is now located in offices in Bartlett Street, Bath where its team of software developers and graphic designers are based under the direction of CIO and co-founder Paul Cross. Paul commented: “One of the problems with this type of software is that users have previously had to become design experts or software gurus to make it work. To make something as simple for users as KoodibooK, we had to use some of the world’s most recent innovations in computer software such as Silverlight and Cloud Computing and we’ve tested much of it to its limits.”

Godfrey and Cross have some ambitious targets: “We’ve set ourselves a goal to become the world’s favourite way of publishing memories for others to enjoy them and while we’re delighted with our start, we’re well aware that we’ve got a long way to go. We’ve got a great team who are 100% committed and we’re confident we’ll get there.”

The KoodibooK software can be downloaded at koodibook.com. For further information contact info(at)koodibook(dot)com.
