Quick creation, instant upload, and a Netbook-friendly design are the highlights of the latest automatic video editing software from muvee

San Francisco, CA – July 19, 2010 – muvee, the pioneer and leader in home movie-making software and services, today announced the launch of muvee Pixie, the latest addition to the award-winning automatic video editing suite of products that has been shipped with hundreds of millions of consumer devices from PCs to cameras.

muvee Pixie was created with the social media savvy, Netbook user in mind. Users go through muvee’s simple three steps to create videos with an intuitive interface that focuses on sharing and ease-of-use. Users upload their photos and videos, select a style, and choose music from their iTunes collection or any other songs on their computer. muvee Pixie automatically mashes them up to create a video synced to the beat of the music.

The new interface allows the user to focus on quick and simple video-making. Instant upload to Facebook, YouTube, iPod, iPhone or blog, in a click, gives the user the ability to create and share videos in moments. Features include instant full-screen preview which puts user’s video ambitions front and center, and music trimming which allows them to use the entire track, or just the 63 second guitar solo.

“With over a billion videos streaming on YouTube daily and over 4 million Flip cameras sold to date, the average consumer is making and sharing videos more than ever before. We created muvee Pixie for those users to get their story out on social networks quickly and easily while sitting in Starbucks,” said Terence Swee, CEO, muvee. “Capturing video is just one step of the process. To tell their story, some editing is always necessary, but it doesn’t have to be painful. With muvee Pixie’s improved workflow, we get users from point to shoot to post in moments with a little extra on the side!”

Additionally, muvee Pixie was designed to be Netbook friendly, with a mini interface that displays comfortably on smaller Netbook screens, eliminating the need to scroll up, down and sideways excessively. On larger screens, muvee Pixie stretches out completely, giving users more workspace to put their masterpiece together. In addition, graphics performance and power management are also fine tuned toenhance the muvee Pixie experience for Netbook users.

muvee Pixie comes pre-installed with four muvee styles. Each muvee style is a themed library of unique effects and transitions that set the tone of the video and gives it that polished professional look. Additional styles are available at http://www.muvee.com/en/stylelabs/pixie.

Currently available for the PC, muvee Pixie retails for $29.95. muvee Pixie is also compliant from XP to Windows 7.
