Adobe has released an update to the latest version of its professional non-linear video editing software, Premiere Pro.

The Adobe Premiere Pro Creative Suite 5.0.2 update is available for both the Windows and Macintosh platforms, with separate downloads on each platform for customers who purchased the software via electronic download, and on a retail DVD. Several changes are listed in Premiere Pro 5.0.2, versus the previous release. Adobe's Mercury Playback Engine, which uses certain features of graphics cards to accelerate video rendering and playback, has been enhanced for certain unspecified Windows-based NVIDIA GPU cards. There's also XD-CAM-HD export, Broadcast WAV support, and improvements to RED workflows using the RED Rocket card and latest Color Science build.

More details, including the updates themselves, can be found on the Adobe website. Customers who purchased the software via electronic download should visit the relevant update pages for Macintosh and Windows. Customers who bought the retail package will find their updates on separate pages both for Macintosh and Windows.
