Panasonic Corp. has released updated firmware for five of its Lumix digital camera models -- the FP1, FP2, FP3, TZ10, and ZS7 digital cameras.

In the case of the Panasonic FP1 and FP2, the new firmware carries version number 1.1, while for the Panasonic FP3, TZ10, and ZS7 the current release is now v1.2. The new firmware v1.1 for the Panasonic FP2 and FP1 improves red-eye removal performance. v1.2 for the FP3 includes this same change, in addition to integrating changes made in the previous v1.1 release issued last July, which improved touch-panel response time, and reduced the time to switch between images in playback mode. Finally, v1.2 for the Panasonic TZ10, which is known in some markets as the Panasonic ZS7, reduces the time taken to achieve a GPS lock after starting up the camera. This release also includes both updates made in June's v1.1 update, which improved both start-up stability, and compatibility with INON external flash strobes.

More details on the firmware and its application can be found on the DMC-FP1 / FP2, DMC-FP3, and DMC-TZ10 / ZS7 firmware download pages.
