AKVIS announces the upgrade of its program, AKVIS NatureArt, to Version 2.0. AKVIS NatureArt is an excellent tool for imitating the magnificence of natural phenomena on your digital photos. In addition to the 6 nature effects offered by NatureArt: Rain, Sun, Water, Lightning, Clouds, and Fire, Version 2.0 offers a new nature effect - Frost. The Frost effect allows you to adorn an image with an openwork of frost crystals. Also in the new version: the possibility to save/load selections, new image creation, bugs fixed.

AKVIS is excited to announce an upgrade of its program, NatureArt, to Version 2.0.

AKVIS NatureArt is an excellent tool for imitating the majesty of natural phenomena on your digital photos.

The same photo can take on a whole new look simply by changing the scene's weather. Its spirit will change dramatically, from a crackling thunderstorm to a peaceful morning, from a forest in flames to a dreary rainy thicket, from a parched desert to a cool lakeside scene. Nature effects have an impact on our mood and can be used to strengthen the impression made by a picture.

In addition to 6 nature effects offered by NatureArt: Rain, Sun, Water, Lightning, Clouds, andFire, Version 2.0 introduces a new nature effect - Frost.

The list of possible uses is even far greater. You can create a vast array of effect versions. Change the weather on a photo, illuminate a night sky with glistening stars, light up a dark, gloomy landscape by adding sources of light, create a flaming text effect, stir up a sandstorm, or even your own little tempest in a teapot.

The new Frost effect adorns an image with an openwork of ice crystals. In nature frost appears on long thin objects during freezing weather. This gives an environment a fantastic look, sometimes almost surreal. Now you can add this beauty to your digital photos easily. Use your imagination and add frost crystals where you would not expect to find them, such as on someone's eyelashes, or enhance an already wintry scene.

The Rain effect adds precipitation to an image. You can add various kinds of rain (from drizzle to downpour) by adjusting the parameters. You can even add snow using the AKVIS Snow preset.

The Sun effect adds the most important celestial body to an image - The Sun - in all of its glory, depending on the time of day, the changing seasons, and the weather: bright, dim, summer, winter, rising, setting, etc. By changing settings or using one of the presets from AKVIS, it's possible to transform the sun into the moon (AKVIS Moon preset) or into one of its more distant neighbors in the galaxy (AKVIS Star preset).

The Water effect adds a body of water to an image. The horizon of the body of water can be adjusted vertically up and down. The water's characteristics as color, depth, and the appearance can be adjusted, as well as the direction of waves. You can change an existing body of water's appearance or add a river to a forest background.

The Lightning effect adds lightning bolts of any shape and number to an image. The lightning bolt’s attributes, such as its glow, thickness, number of branches, and color can be adjusted via various parameters. Add some excitement to a cloudy scene or electrify a peaceful background.

The Clouds effect adds clouds to an image. They can be applied anywhere on an image using the program's selection tools. Their density, size, transparency, and color can be adjusted using the effect's parameters. Use it to fill a vague, blank sky or to add an air of enchantment to a forest.

The Fire effect (only available under the Home Deluxe and Business licenses) adds tongues of flame to an image. You can change their color and other characteristics by adjusting various parameters. Illuminate a scene with bright flames or even make flaming text.

Version 2.0 of NaturArt also introduces the ability to create new images. The New Image dialog provides a choice of default presets for creating your own postcards, posters, and other projects. You can create nature scenes from scratch, such as converting a blank background into a sea view or a night sky with scattered, glistening stars. You can even draw a unique picture with the help of NatureArt's effects.

Version 2.0 also allows to save the selection areas and the direction lines to a file (.nature format), and load them later. It makes experimenting with the program even easier.

AKVIS NatureArt is available in two editions, as an independent program (standalone) and as a plugin to a photo editor.

The plugin edition is compatible with Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Paint Shop Pro, etc. Check the compatibility page for more details.
