On March 11, a major earthquake struck off the northeast coast of Japan's main island of Honshu, causing massive damage and loss of life in the area.

We at Canon extend our heartfelt condolences to all those affected by this disaster and our thoughts go out to those suffering in its aftermath. In addition, we hope that the region will sustain no further damage and will soon be able to begin the rebuilding and healing process.

To aid in the relief efforts for the earthquake victims, the Canon Group is making a donation of 300 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society and other humanitarian aid organizations, and will provide supplies as needed.
