Innovative 3X Zoom Technology Provides Camera-Enabled Devices with Crisp, Clear, High-Quality Images

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Tessera Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSRA) today announced that the System LSI Division of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has licensed Tessera’s OptiML™ Zoom image enhancement solution, which provides high quality 3X zoom capabilities, without moving parts, for miniature cameras. Camera modules which incorporate this technology will enable high-quality zoom functionality in cell phones, portable video recorders and other camera-equipped mobile devices.

Tessera’s OptiML Zoom technology combines unique lens designs with specialized algorithms to provide a high-performance zoom solution which is smaller, more cost-effective, easier to manufacture and more reliable than conventional mechanical zoom solutions.
