Contest Will Challenge Consumers to Find Their Inner-Artist

DOVER, NJ, July 5, 2011 — Casio America, Inc. today announced a photo contest which will challenge consumers to find their inner-artist. The photo contest, which takes places from July 5th through July 19th, will be hosted on the company’s Imaging Square Group Album on Photobucket. To enter, consumers must first register for an account with Casio’s Imaging Square service, transform a photograph into a work of art using one of Imaging Square’s Digital Craft tools, and submit their image to the Imaging Square Group Album on Photobucket. Two grand prize winners will each receive a Casio EX-ZR100 digital camera, valued at $299.99.

“Thanks to the advancements made in digital cameras, consumers’ creativity knows no bounds,” said Toshi Iguchi, Senior General Manager, Digital Imaging Division, Casio America Inc. “With our Imaging Square service, we now give consumers the chance to take that creativity even further. With just the push of a button, they can now create stunning pieces of art from any photograph they’ve captured, and from any camera -- no additional knowledge of photo editing is required. We’re excited to share the unique capabilities of this service to all those participating and are looking forward to the creative entries we will receive.”

Imaging Square is an easy-to-use, online service that transforms prized photos into compelling pieces of art. Registration and use of the online service is completely free of charge and requires no additional software. Imaging Square currently offers three different creative tools to help users convert their images into compelling artwork, including HDR-ART Craft, Virtual Painter as well as Casio’s Dynamic Photo editing. HDR-ART Craft leverages the same unique photo conversion technologies found in Casio’s latest digital cameras, such as the TRYX and EX-ZR100, to produce artistic and stunning high-dynamic-range art.

Entries will be judged based on originality, creativity, and adherence to the contest theme. To submit photos, entrants must log into their Photobucket account, visit the Casio Imaging Square brand page, and add their photos to the contest gallery as their “entry.” Photos may originate in any format so long as they are submitted electronically. There is a limit of one entry per person using only one email address per day.
