Adobe Systems Inc. yesterday released its Carousel apps for iOS and Mac OS X devices, which were announced back in early September at the Photoshop World 2011 conference and expo.

Adobe Carousel allows photographers to share their JPEG images across Mac OS desktops and notebooks, as well as iPad tablets, iPods, and iPhones, all without the need to worry about syncing and storage limits. Carousel includes basic editing features such as cropping, rotation, and exposure correction regardless of platform used, and the original image is always saved if you change your mind about an adjustment.

Carousel is a subscription service, and regular pricing is around US$10 per month, or US$100 paid annually, which averages out to a little over $8 per month. Through January 31st, 2012, Adobe is running a promotional discount offering pricing of about US$6 per month or $60 annually ($5 per month average), with the ability to renew at this same price for an additional two years. This obviously offers a pretty significant discount over the standard pricing, so if you know you'll be using Carousel, now's the time to sign up!

Carousel for Mac OS X 10.7 or later can be downloaded from the Mac App Store, while Carousel for iOS 4.2 or later devices is on the iTunes App Store.
