Phil Askey looks at Canon's portable dye-sub printer...

Our friends at the Digital Photography Review website have today posted their review of Canon's CP-10 dye sublimation printer. This interesting device, which connects directly to Canon's PowerShot S300, A10 and A20 cameras, is portable although it does require a 100-240V power socket as it doesn't use batteries. Currently there is no way to use the printer with other cameras, since it cannot be connected to a PC, but Canon are planning a PC connection kit for release at a later date. Phil praised the CP-10 for its print quality, but found the print cost (based on European pricing) to be a bit high:
"There's no doubting that this little printer delivers quality results which would put some of its bigger brothers to shame, the ability to get prints direct from your digital camera without the need for a computer is certainly attractive, it's the kind of thing you could easily take on holiday / to a friends house / home for christmas and run off prints there and then."
Read the review in its entirity if you're considering buying this neat little gadget!
