Over on our forums, we've noticed a number of reports from readers of SmartMedia cards mysteriously dying after a relatively short period of use. We'd likewise noticed one of our own SmartMedia cards dying, and hence Dave has been trying to track down the cause...
The problem seems to crop up when shuttling cards back and forth between your camera and computer. If you own a SmartMedia-based digicam, you'll probably want to read this thread in our forums, along with Dave's findings at the end!
