Canon's six-color, 1,200dpi photo printer undergoes the Imaging Resource review treatment...

We've just completed our full review of Canon's newest photo-quality inkjet printer, the Bubble Jet S800. We've personally always owned Epson inkjets in the past, but this latest from Canon could change that! We were "uncommonly impressed" with the S800's print quality, speed, and quietness. Canon's new ultra-glossy Photo Paper Pro was a joy to use as well, and Canon's claiming 25 year print life for it, backed by results from Wilhelm Research, the "horse's mouth" for print fade life testing.

Print quality on the S800 was very high, with excellent color rendition and superb resolution and detail. We were quite impressed with its print speed too, at only 2 minutes per letter-sized page at full (default) photo quality. We also *really* liked the individual ink tanks for each color: No more throwing away an ink cartridge that's half full, just because it ran out of Photo Magenta!

We're waiting to test some of the latest Epson printers, but for this moment in time at least, the Canon Bubble Jet S800 holds the distinction of being our favorite photo printer. Check the review for full details!
