US retailer will sell Lexar's flash under its own name...

A press release from Lexar Media Inc. announces that retailer Ritz Camera Centers Inc. will rebadge its flash cards in the USA, selling them under the name 'Ritz Big Print Digital Film by Lexar Media'. Ritz Camera is the largest US photo retailer with about 1000 stores in 47 states, and will sell Lexar CompactFlash and SmartMedia cards under the Big Print name. The company will also retail Lexar's MemoryStick, MultiMediaCard and Secure Digital flash cards, as well as Lexar card readers and Professional USB-enabled CompactFlash cards, all under Lexar's own brand name.

Ritz Camera to Launch "Ritz Big Print Digital Film by Lexar Media" Brand

FREMONT, Calif., May 24, 2001 -- Lexar Media, Inc. (NSDQ: LEXR), a leading designer, developer and marketer of high-performance digital film memory cards and connectivity products for digital photography and electronics, today announced a comprehensive distribution and marketing agreement with Ritz Camera Centers, Inc., the nation’s largest photo retailer with about 1,000 locations in 47 states. Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop a co-branded CompactFlash™ and SmartMedia™ digital film and card reader product line under the “Ritz Big Print Digital Film by Lexar Media” brand name.
