Nikon D90 Design

Roll-over the various controls and features with your mouse for a brief description.

Front View. Most of the Nikon D90 controls are the same as the Nikon D80. The only difference here besides subtle reshaping of various items is the addition of the microphone. Three holes show its position just upper left from the D90 logo.

Left View. The left of the D90 reveals some new ports, including the HDMI-out port, and in place of the Video-out port is the Audio/Video out port. The smaller rubber door for what was the remote control port now serves as a GPS-in port as well. Note that the Flash pop-up button also serves as a Flash exposure compensation button. Turning on the Bracketing function is as easy as pressing the BKT button and turning the Main and sub-command dials.

Right View. The SD card door and speaker are located on the right side. The SD card door opens with a pull to the rear, and then you press the SD card down to release it.

Top View. All of the functions and controls are the same on the top deck. It's a great layout that allows for quick changes to commonly used settings.

Back View. The back has the most changes from the Nikon D80. The Lv button is new, for switching into Live view mode. The OK button has taken up a new position inside the Multi-controller, and the Info button has taken its place. The Multi-controller Lock switch is now smaller and more efficient.

Bottom View. No changes here, just a battery door and tripod mounting socket.
