The rear panel of Fujifilm's FinePix F650 is dominated by one of its two most noticable features - a signficantly larger than average 3.0-inch LCD display with a high resolution of 230,000 pixels. Turn the Fuji F650 around, and you're presented with its other standout feature - a a Fujinon 5x optical zoom lens that offers a 36 - 180mm equivalent range. Both are achieved in a body that remains compact and pants-pocket friendly, with smooth lines and few projections. The FinePix F650 couples that 5x optical zoom lens with a six megapixel, 1/2.5" CCD imager, and stores images on xD-Picture cards or 32MB of built-in memory.
Power in the Fuji F650 comes from a proprietary NP-40N Lithium Ion rechargeable battery, and images are transferred to a computer via a USB 1.1 connection. The Fujifilm F650 features a 256-segment metering system, ten scene modes, shutter- and aperture-priority modes to cater for the creative types, ISO sensitivities from 64 to 400, and shutter speeds from 1/2000 to 2 seconds.
The Fujifilm FinePix F650 has a list price of $349.
