GE E840S Intro

According to General Electric, the E840S is an easy to use, intermediate eight-megapixel camera that could be mistaken for a premium model.

GE E840S Features

The GE E840S couples a 4x optical zoom with an 8 megapixel CCD and a 2.7-inch high-resolution LCD screen that auto adjusts for ambient lighting. The E840s includes advanced features such as GE's Smile Detection, Blink Detection, Face Detection, and In-Camera Panorama stitching. The GE E840s derives its power from a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, rated for about 200 shots per charge.

The all-new GE E840S comes with a lightweight, ultra-slim body design that combines portability with style. Within its compact body, the GE E840S serves up eight-megapixel resolution, 4x optical zoom, 4.5x digital zoom, 18x combined zoom, and a 2.7" high-resolution LCD screen (230,400 pixels), which means you won't have to squint to see what you're capturing.

The GE E840S also features the latest auto-brightness LCD technology that ensures perfect screen visibility both indoors and outdoors, and an aspheric all-glass lens for sharper, clearer pictures.

A simple, intuitive user interface makes the E840S easy to use even for novices.

Its stylish 19.5mm ultra-slim body design is packed with the latest DSC technologies and special features, including: In-Camera Panorama Stitching, Smile Detection, Blink Detection Face Detection, Electronic Image Stabilization, Red-Eye Removal and MPEG-4 Movie Recording. The ES40S also comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for non-stop picture taking, and its memory can be expanded up to four gigabytes with SD or SDHC memory cards.
