Fujifilm FinePix JX350 Overview
At the heart of the Fujifilm FinePix JX350 digital camera sits a 16 megapixel CCD image sensor, which allows capture of not only high-resolution still images, but also of high-definition 720p video. The Fuji JX350 places its sensor behind a FUJINON-branded 5x optical zoom lens, with actual focal lengths ranging from 5 to 25mm. This equates to the same range as a 35mm camera with a 28mm - 140mm lens, a useful wide angle to a moderate telephoto Maximum aperture ranges from f/2.6 at wide angle to a rather dim f/6.2 at telephoto.
The Fuji FinePix JX350 lacks any form of optical or electronic viewfinder, instead relying on a 2.7-inch LCD display of unspecified resolution. Also absent from the Fuji JX350's design is any provision for mechanical image stabilization, with the JX350 instead relying solely on what Fuji terms "Digital Image Stabilization". In essence, the camera raises ISO sensitivity (and with this, both the shutter speeds and noise levels), thus attempting to freeze blur from camera shake.
The Fujifilm JX350 includes face detection capability able to locate and track up to ten faces in a scene. It also includes both smile and blink detection capability, and automatic red-eye removal. Other features of the Fuji JX350 include automatic upload of images and videos tagged on camera to Facebook and YouTube via the provided Windows-only MyFinePix Studio software, i-Flash intelligent flash metering, automatic scene recognition function, and a motion panorama mode that stitches up to three separate shots into a single image. Further details on this model were not available at press time.
The Fuji FinePix JX350 ships in the US market from April 2011, priced at around US$160. The only available body color in this market is black.
