The Samsung L100 features an eight megapixel image sensor, Samsung-branded 3x optical zoom lens with 37 - 111mm equivalent focal length, and a 2.5" LCD display with above average 230,000 pixel resolution.

Other L100 features include ISO sensitivity ranging from 80 to 1600, shutter speeds from 8s to 1/1500s, 4 metering modes (multi, spot, center-weighted and face detection), and the L100 offers 10 scene modes: Night scene, Children, Landscape, Close-up, Text, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow.

The Samsung L100 has the ability to record movies at VGA resolution (640x480), at a maximum frame rate of 30fps, and supports optical zoom while recording MPEG-4 videos. Additional L100 features include Face Detection, Self Portrait and Auto Red Eye Fix modes. Images are stored on SD, SDHC, or MMC cards, plus 20MB of built-in memory, and the L100 derives its power from a custom lithium-ion battery pack.

The Samsung L100 ships from February 2008 priced at US$199.
