Body is aluminum in 'lavender silver'. Lens has 8 elements in 7 groups, and all-glass design. Can be connected directly to Canon CP-10 printer to print images without a computer. Battery recharges in-camera with supplied charger, charge time approx. 80 minutes. Battery life rated at 300 minutes playback.
Has three-point AF system with user-selectable AF point displayed on LCD monitor. Auto exposure bracketing feature takes several photos with differing exposure. Has histogram feature to assist in judging correct exposure, and flashes overexposed areas of picture. Playback zoom is 2.5x or 5x. User-adjustable sharpening. Has in-camera stitch assist mode for panoramas (displays portion of previous photo alongside live viewfinder to assist in lining up images). LCD hue/brightness can be adjusted. Images can be trimmed/cropped in playback mode. Continuous shooting speed is 3fps up to 7 frames, or 2fps up to 12 frames.
