Express Review posted for Canon SD990 IS!
The 900-series of the Canon ELPH digital cameras is usually pretty deluxe, and the Canon SD990 doesn't disappoint. In addition to the Canon SD990's 14.7-megapixel sensor, 2.5-inch LCD, and 3.7x lens, this curvy little digital camera has a full Manual exposure mode that should pique the interest of photographers wanting a little more control. Image stabilization is of course standard on the Canon SD990, as is face detection, intelligent auto, and intelligent contrast, but a new Quick Shot mode primes the camera to capture action when used with the optical viewfinder. Though it's small, the Canon SD990's images can be printed at up to 16x20 inches with good detail, thanks to the high-resolution sensor. Lens flare is a minor problem with the Canon SD990, especially in daylight shots, so prepare to limit print sizes to 8x10 to avoid a slight glow around bright objects, but other than that, the Canon SD990 is an impressive photographic tool, full of interesting twists. Express Review posted for Canon PowerShot E1!
Cute, small, and fun, the Canon PowerShot E1 brings intelligent, automatic simplicity to a, dare-we-say, adorable little digital camera body. It's small and attractive, but it's not all about the looks. The PowerShot E1 captures clean, high-quality images with great color and exposure, boasting useful automatic tools such as Face Detection and a variety of pre-programmed scene modes. With its 4x zoom lens, optical image stabilization, and 10-megapixel CCD, the PowerShot E1 can handle a range of conditions with ease. Printer Review: Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II!
Canon introduced two Mark II printers in March. The $850 Pro9500 Mark II uses 10 pigment inks and the $500 Pro9000 Mark II uses eight dye inks. Both make 13x19-inch prints. The new Canon Pro9000 Mark II, which is the subject of this review, is three times faster than the original Pro9000, which we applauded for its "vibrant color, fast printing and versatile media handling that challenges not just the i9900 but pigment-based 13x19 printers." We've got an unboxing gallery and a software installation gallery to accompany our Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II review.

Initial Test to Review update posted for Canon PowerShot SD880 IS!
If you're looking for an excellent pocket digital camera at a good price, your search is over. The Canon PowerShot SD880 IS has a nice 28mm wide-angle lens, a 4x zoom, a very clean 10-megapixel sensor, and clean, sharp corners even at wide angle. It even has image stabilization built right in. If you're not convinced yet, we're prepared to go into greater detail, just click here for our review of the Canon PowerShot SD880 IS.

Hands-On Preview posted for Olympus E-P1!
Olympus announces a return to an old form factor, and the beginning of a new era of small, interchangeable-lens digital cameras. Panasonic shipped the first Micro Four Thirds cameras, but the Olympus E-P1 wins the prize for the smallest of the new breed of digital camera. The Olympus E-P1 has a 12.3-megapixel sensor that is capable of both still and HD video capture. Many of the features in the E-P1 can also be found in Olympus's digital SLRs, including face detection, Art Filters, the SuperSonic Wave Filter for dust reduction, sensor-shift image stabilization, multiple exposures, and magnified focus assist. But the Olympus E-P1 introduces a lot of features new to the company as well, including HD video, digital leveling, 324-area matrix metering, onboard music, and in-camera music/still/video integration. Two new lenses are expected to kit with the Olympus E-P1: the 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6, and the 17mm f/2.8, as well as a small optical viewfinder matched to the 17mm lens. A small external flash will also debut with the camera. See our Olympus E-P1 Hands-On Preview for more.

First Test Shots posted for Olympus E-620!
We've just posted the first set of test shots taken with the Olympus E-620, with more to come in the following days. The Olympus E-620 brings the 12.3 effective megapixel Live MOS image sensor from the mid-range E-30 digital SLR into a more affordable body. Where the E30 is priced at $1,300, the E-620 has a significantly lower pricetag of $700 - both prices being for the camera body only. A kit bundle has the Olympus E620 sold with an ED 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens for $800. See our Olympus E-620 Hands-on Preview for more details, and the E-620 samples page for all the test shots taken so far, including links to select RAW files.

Full Review posted for Panasonic DMC-GH1!
While it's technically not a digital SLR, the Panasonic GH1 kept us quite busy going over the myriad features of this refined interchangeable-lens digital camera. With live view, fast autofocus, a swiveling LCD, a 12-megapixel sensor, optical image stabilization, several video modes, and impressive printed output, there's a lot to cover on the Panasonic Lumix GH1. Image quality has improved dramatically from the G1, making the Panasonic GH1 worth the extra money not only for its video mode and 10x lens. The Panasonic GH1 even does well pixel-for-pixel up against competing SLRs from Canon and Nikon. But it's the video mode that makes the Panasonic GH1 unique, capable of HD video capture in both AVCHD and Motion JPEG. What's more, you can shoot video in Program, Shutter-priority, Aperture-priority, and Manual exposure mode, a first for any digital camera, SLR or otherwise. Then there's that intangible feeling of satisfaction we got after a day of shooting with the Panasonic GH1 that leads us to give it such a strong recommendation. Express Review posted for Canon PowerShot D10!
Finally, a waterproof digital camera that looks the part: the Canon PowerShot D10. Capable of diving to 33 feet, falling from four feet, and withstanding temperatures of 14 degrees Fahrenheit, the Canon D10 is ready to weather some tough conditions; tougher than most digital cameras. Its 12-megapixel sensor delivers crisp images to its 2.5-inch LCD, and its 3x zoom is protected within a sturdy bell housing, protected from impact and weather. That can be a big help when you edit your image, whether you're at the controls of a Raw image editor or just trying to tweak a JPEG.
