(From Samsung lens literature) It may be ultra-compact, but the 20-50mm retractable zoom lens delivers big results. Ranging from the 20mm wide-angle to the standard-angle 50mm, it’s perfect for everything from portraits to landscapes to sunsets. The range has also been optimised for a more compact lens design. If you're a traveler, you'll appreciate the fact that the 20-50mm zoom lens is much lighter than comparable lenses. What's more, the lens retracts dramatically when not in use. So not only does it maintain the compact design of your camera when mounted, it easily fits in your jacket pocket.

Taking professional-quality pictures is now as easy as smiling for one. The intuitive i-Function lens gives you quick and easy, one-touch access to all your camera’s manual settings. Adjust shutter speed, aperture and more with just a twist of the lens while previewing the image in real-time. Now you can see how your settings affect the shot before you take it. Whether you’re an enthusiast or an expert, the convenient i-Function lens truly revolves around your photographic needs.

excellent set lens, nearly no CA's, very sharp stopped down to f 8
wide open a few week in the corners, the AF slow in darkness (perhaps a cam problem)

the image resolution with 20 MP and improved sharpness in menue is really impressive.I never had so sharp digital images.

excellent color rendition, very nice bokeh and high contrast.

    very content with my item.

Very sharp at the wide and, acceptable at the long end
    Not much

Optically it is not perfect, but still better than the kit zooms I use regularly, the Nikkor 18-55mm (first version), the 18-105mm, or the Nikon 1 10-30mm.

Very compact and tight, but mine has a mechanical fault, sometimes it is not able to set focus and switches off the whole camera, apparently due to a speck of dust caught in its mechanism. But I am rough with my gear.

Compact, lightweight, image quality is good.
Plastic mount, filter thread is 40,5mm, flare

The lens is kit zoom. Like a toy but it is quite solid. The len's image quality is good but is not the best. There is a distortion at focal length 20mm. The sharpness at 50mm is not good.

But overall, it is better than all other kit zoom.
