Following just three weeks after the previous update improved autofocus and flash metering accuracy, the new update is also said to fix a problem with the LCD display briefly showing what Sigma terms as "minor fuzziness" on startup. Additionally, a Sigma SD1 running version 1.07 firmware--or the identical SD1 Merrill running v1.02--will now allow use of external flash in manual mode with the mirror locked up.

For the original Sigma SD1, the firmware can be downloaded here. SD1 Merrill owners will want to grab a different download here.
