Photographer Dan Milner learned the hard way that it's best to keep a safe distance from the wild animals you intend to photograph. In the below video from Live Leak, Milner stops by the side of the road to photograph a stag -- which is an adult male deer without a mate -- while crouching just a few feet away from the wild animal.

Um...not smart.

The stag, predictably, charges Milner, bashing its horns against the front of his Canon wide-angle lens. According to Milner, the resulting lens scratch will cost him "1,400 quid" (~US$2,100) to repair.

We suggest he try using a telephoto from the other side of the road the next time!
