KEH Camera is probably the most widely used and well respected used photography equipment seller in the country. Now, they're teaming up with a group called "Bert's Big Adventure" to help send children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families to Disney World.

Later this month, KEH will hold a camera drive at a trio of locations in Atlanta, Georgia. If you swing by with your old (and clean, and functioning) gear, they'll give you an on-the-spot evaluation, and the option to donate all or part of the money to Bert's Big Adventure.

According to KEH:

"We are actively seeking digital and film bodies, collectible cameras, lenses, flashes and major accessories in all formats.  Please be sure to bring a valid ID.  We are not always able to make an offer to purchase certain older or broken items.  However, we will certainly be happy to help you recycle the items in an environmentally friendly manner."

If you're not in the Atlanta area, you can always ship your goods to KEH, and use a special quote to make sure they know it's for the fundraiser.

So if you've got some old gear that you're willing to part with, this could be a good way to get it out of the house, and do something to help people who really need it. I know that old Nikon D40 of mine hasn't seen much use of late...
