So, we've been covering the phenomenon of photographers using affordable DJI Phantom quadcopter drones to shoot aerial footage for a few months now but, as expected, it doesn't always end in success.

Take the case of a YouTube user who goes by the handle "WeddingMan123." He says he used a DJI Phantom with a GoPro camera attached for a bridal shoot and it ended in an "Epic Fail" after the quadcopter crashed into the groom's head. Here's how the photographer describes the disaster.

"This was two days before the wedding at their bridal shoot," WeddingMan123 writes on YouTube. "This happened towards the beginning. I had done one successful fly by and i brought it around for another pass to make sure it was smooth. I underestimated the lift time and it hit the goom on the side of the face. He had a cut on his cheek and and the side of his head. I felt horrible. Luckily the bride and groom were able to laugh about it after and we continued the shoot."

He says the bride and groom were ok with him posting the video on YouTube: "I have decided to own up to what I did, instead of trying to hide it from the world."

Hard to tell, immediately, whether this is all a gag but it is a rather, ahem, compelling video and a good cautionary tale to aspiring drone photographers out there.
