Last week, we reported on Sigma's upcoming full frame 24-105mm zoom lens, which offers a constant f/4 maximum aperture across its entire zoom range. A few days later, we learned that it was slated to ship in November, but we still didn't know one crucial detail: its list price. Today, that changes, with Sigma's official announcement of pricing for the optic.

So... will you need to call your bank manager to talk things out, or will this be one everyone can afford? The answer: You can hang up the phone to the bank, as the Sigma 24-105mm F4 DG OS HSM lens will hit the market with a list price of US$900 or thereabouts. That pricetag, while perhaps not an impulse buy, will certainly put it in more than a few photographers hands in the weeks to come.
