Ecuadorian art director Javier Pérez goes under the name Cintascotch on Instagram, and by combining everyday objects and some wonderful line art, he has transformed the regular into the whimsical and wonderful.

He takes objects that you might find in any desk or office, and draws around them, making them part of a larger scene. Orange wedges become lungs, paper clips become trumpets or tank treads, scissor blades become ballerina legs. The simplicity and clarity of the images belies just how much skill goes into making something like this.

With this adorable series of images, Pérez shows a wondrous grasp of taking the most ordinary of things, and turning them into illustrations that wouldn't look out of place in a children's book. And frankly, they're wonderful.

You can see more of the series through Pérez' Instagram account and on his Behance page, alongside his other work.
