Samyang Europe launches video-specific lens kits

Nikon's just-announced, retro-styled Nikon DF digital SLR may buck the trend by forgoing movie recording capabilities, but for many professional photographers, video capture is now an important part of their business. Where formerly photo shoots were still only, clients now frequently expect video as well -- and what the client wants, the photographer needs to be ready to provide.

If you're a pro, that means your camera gear needs to cater not only to still photography, but also to video -- which is where Korean lens manufacturer Samyang steps in. The company offers a line of completely manual, video-specific lenses with stepless aperture control, follow focus gearing, and T-stop markings. All of these features are more important for enthusiast / pro video use than are consumer-friendly features like autofocus and automatic aperture control.

Now, Samyang Europe has announced that it will offer its V-DSLR lenses in four bundles, aimed at various form factors and sensor sizes. Each kit will include either three or five lenses, and will come with a custom, foam-lined, weather-sealed carrying case. The kits are as follows:
