In October, Nokia announced an app called Refocus that would allow Lytro-like refocusing after an image had already been captured. Now, if you have a Nokia PureView phone, you can download the Refocus app, and adjust the focus to your heart's content.

As explained in a blog post, to use the app you focus on the object closes to you in a scene, and then the camera takes a series of images with differing focus points. These are then stitched together into a single file, where you can click on any point and have the focus shift. These images are automatically saved on users' SkyDrive, and can be shared over SMS, email, as a link on the Refocus site, or through Facebook.

The app is exclusively available for Nokia PureView phones. If you have a  Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 925, Lumia 928, or Lumia 1020, you'll need to install the Amber update to have it work, but for the Lumia 1520, it should work just fine out of the box.

Refocus also includes a "colour pop" tool to display just a single color in the image.
