Sometimes, achieving that shot takes more than just pointing your camera. It needs careful placing and handling, and at times a tripod alone won't do the trick. But then again, it's not very practical to carry all kinds of different mounting systems in your backpack while out shooting. This is where Tooga Gear comes in. Tooga Gear is a modular camera mounting system that provides a number of different options for both photographers and videographers -- and all in a very compact and affordable package.

Currently seeking funding via Kickstarter, Tooga Gear consists of a base that attaches to your camera on one end, and to the so-called 'extensions' on the other end. These extensions are: a gorilla cage, a dolly that runs on roller blade wheels, a solid ball head and a set of suction mounts. All these items fit into a small sling back that comes with the set. In addition, Tooga is compatible to almost any camera, be it for still photography or for videography, be it a DSLR or an iPhone, a GoPro or a Phantom Flex. Okay, we're not so sure about the Phantom Flex.

If you dig the concept, you can help the project achieve its US$45,000 funding goal, of which so far almost US$14,000 has been raised. The Super Early Bird spots are sadly all full, but you can currently get the Tooga Gear for $499 as an Early Bird backer, or for $549 if you miss out on that offer. And with 34 more days to go, chances are that Tooga Gear will actually see the light of day.
