A whole new you: Panasonic SZ10 adds selfie-friendly beauty effects function

 

 

Want an affordable, sleek, pocket-friendly camera, but don't want to sacrifice on zoom range to get it? The 16-megapixel, 12x zoom Panasonic SZ10 -- a followup to last year's SZ8 -- aims to fill your needs!

Sporting a restyled body, the basic specifications of the SZ10 are pretty similar to its predecessor. There's a new selfie mode, though, which includes beauty effects such as Soft Skin, Defocusing and Slimming, promising a whole new you for your Facebook friends. And curiously, the Panasonic SZ10's LCD monitor is actually a little smaller than that of the previous model -- yet somewhat counterintuitively, body thickness has increased just slightly.
