Tamron Tailgate Tour takes photo education and hands-on experiences to camera shops across America

When you think of tailgating, it usually refers to sporting events, not photography. But for the second year, Tamron is looking to alter your perception of tailgating with its 2015 Tamron Tailgate Tour, which begins on April 13th in New York City.
What is the Tamron Tailgate Tour? It’s a traveling Tamron van that will bring along with it free mini-seminars, hands-on experiences with Tamron gear, portfolio reviews and plenty of freebies.
Little by little, the van and its accompanying components will drive across America, setting up shop in the parking lots of camera stores from 12pm to 4pm for each location on the tour.
It’s meant to be a much more casual, laid back event than your usual seminars and try-out experiences, thus the tailgating nomenclature. A few of the mini-seminars include ‘Achieving Perfect Exposure,’ ‘Portfolio and Image Review,’ and ‘Understanding Your Digital Darkroom,’ which begin at 12:00pm, 1:00pm and 3:00pm, respectively, at each location.
If those seminars aren’t enough, Tamron is also including a two-hour evening seminar titled ‘The Field Guide to Inspired Photography: See It, Capture It, Work It,’ which will be taught by the Tamron tech team photographers. The cost of the evening seminar is $25 and will include a ‘welcome bag’ full of a few goodies.
If you don’t want to drop the cash or time for the seminars, no worries. Hands-on time with Tamron gear will come at no cost. Additionally, you can enter the ‘Tailgate Tour’ raffle, where three winners will be chosen to pick out any Tamron lens of their choosing.
