On April 1st, lighting gear manufacturer Photoflex announced via its website it was closing its doors after 30 years of business. But it appears the end might not be as near as they thought.

Yesterday, Photoflex posted an updated message on its website stating the company is currently ‘in the process of working through opportunities that will keep Photoflex open.’ In the meantime, the message encourages photographers to ‘buy with confidence,’ considering Photoflex is ‘back in business.’

Information is sparse in regards to what ‘opportunities’ Photoflex is looking at, but Resource Magazine reported Photoflex is working to find a buyer to sell off the brand and its assets. No word on who the potential buyer may be.

As more information comes to light, we’ll be sure to update you appropriately. In the meantime, you can head back over to Photoflex’s website and grab any gear you thought you might not have a chance to.
