Canon has released version 4.3.0 of its Digital Photo Professional 4 software to add new features, fixes and RAW support for a number of cameras.

One of the most notable improvements is that Digital Photo Professional 4 will now work in 64-bit native environments, which should speed up processing across the board on most computers. Canon says the update provides ‘faster, real-time adjustments’, further speeding up your post-processing workflow with the help of a ’better, more approachable user interfaces’.

Digital Photo Professional 4 now provides better recover options for both highlights and shadows, in addition to the ability to use Canon’s Auto Lighting Optimizer on JPEG images, now.

Seven cameras in total have gained RAW support:

  • EOS Rebel T5 / 1200D
  • EOS 60D
  • EOS 60Da
  • PowerShot G7 X
  • PowerShot G1 X Mark II
  • EOS M2
  • EOS M

Various bugs have also been squashed to overall improve the experience.
