In addition to a firmware update, which now brings full autofocus capabilities to its Canon EF to Panasonic Micro Four Thirds Speed Boosters, Metabones has announced the new Metabones T Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x adapter.

This new adapter increases the maximum aperture by a full stop and makes the lens 0.71x wider than its listed focal range. in line with the recent update, the new Speed Booster now enables complete autofocus control of Canon EF lenses as well as full image stabilization capabilities on comparable lenses.

The adapter can be powered by either the camera body or an external 5-volt power source. It also features a detachable tripod foot that is comparable with Arca Swiss ball heads.

The Metabones T Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x adapter works with all MFT cameras and is set to ship in early October for $649. You can pre-order it now on B&H.
