For almost $200K you can be the owner of two of the longest and most rare lenses ever produced

If you have an extra $197,000 laying around, B&H has two iconic lenses on display and up for sale in the used department of its NYC store. Both of these lenses are almost folklore in the photography world, but have no doubt; these beasts are real and available for purchase if you have enough dough for the deal.

We’ll start off with what can only be considered a bargain in comparison. Up for sale via B&H is the Sigma 200–500mm f/2.8 ‘Green Whale’ and an included 2x teleconverter. For only $17,000, you can have the first f/2.8 lens to ever feature a 500mm focal length; and a 400–1000mm f/5.6 lens when you use its 2x teleconverter.

At 2.3 feet long and roughly 35 lbs, don’t expect to be carrying this behemoth around anywhere without a tripod. But if you can take the weight and price tag, know that you’ll be just one of a few people in the world to own one of Sigma’s most unusual lenses.

Next up is the incredibly rare Canon Super Telephoto 1200mm f/5.6L EF USM. At $180,000, it’s roughly the cost of the brand new 2016 McLaren 570S Coupe, a 562-horsepower supercar that can hit 62 mph in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 204 mph.

If you don’t mind shelling out the cash for it though, you’ll be the proud owner of the longest fixed Canon telephoto lens ever produced. Rumors say less than 20 of these lenses were ever produced.
