Between the holiday season, CES show and an impressively powerful flu bug which took Senior Reviews Editor Mike Tomkins out for the count, our Firmware Friday roundup has necessarily taken something of an extended hiatus over the last few weeks. It returns today, though, with news of an update from the folks at Fujifilm, who've recently released their firmware version 5.01 update for the Fuji X-T1.

Fuji X-T1 version 5.01 makes just two changes, according to the company's official release notes. Firstly, a bug introduced in the previous v5.00 release that shipped last November has now been squashed. This could cause the front command dial to become unassigned after upgrading from v4.31 to v5.00. If you've experienced this problem, you can fix it by upgrading to v5.01. Fuji also notes that it has improved functionality when using the flash strobe, although it doesn't detail precisely what this change entails. More details and the firmware update itself can be found on Fujifilm's website.

And that's it for this week. With the holidays and CES show behind us, Firmware Friday should hopefully now return to its normal weekly schedule. Be sure to check back next time for all the latest firmware news!
