Photographing the National Parks: The beauty and diversity of America’s National Parks

The National Parks are one of America’s greatest natural resources. The parks span many states and offer a diverse range of pristine environments, including deserts, forests and coastlines. Photographer Chris Nicholson has embarked on an ambitious project wherein he visits each park and discusses what they offer for photographers.
Nicholson recently visited B&H to give a nearly two-hour presentation on photographing National Parks. In the presentation below, he discusses the parks in general and then goes into detail on a variety of parks. In addition to providing a lot of great insight into the parks, he also offers photographic advice and shows off a lot of beautiful images. It’s amazing to see just varied the National Parks and their photographic subjects are.
