Frequent IR readers, especially those keeping track of our progress on our Sony A9 review, might be scratching their heads about the title here, Field Test Part II... where's Part I, you ask? Fear not. We've simply re-classified our earlier "Sony A9 Gallery Supplement" as our A9 Field Test Part I, as that better fit within our camera review content hierarchy. For those who have yet to read that portion, click here to read our sports- and action-heavy first report.

Now, reviewer and photographer Jaron Schnieider shares with us a supremely in-depth Sony A9 Field Test Part II, which explores not only the A9's updated body design, new battery performance, overheating avoidance, etc, but also the camera's overall high-speed shooting performance, AF chops and its real-world image quality. Shooting everything from BMX stunts and horse jumping to parades and baseball, Jaron covers all the, ahem, bases in his new Field Test. Having shot with all previous full frame Sony mirrorless cameras, Jaron comes away giving the new Sony A9 really high marks.

Is this the best Sony mirrorless camera yet? Read our A9 Field Test Part II to find out. And stay tuned for more of our Sony A9 Review!
