Nikon D850 PreviewExclusive Nikon D850 Q&A from Tokyo

The Nikon D850 is finally here and we've kicked off our coverage with a hands-on preview of Nikon's newest full-frame DSLR. And not only do we have our standard coverage for you, but our founder and Editor-in-Chief Dave Etchells recently travelled to Japan and sat down with Nikon executives for an extensive briefing with them about the new D850. To read our exclusive details directly from Nikon Japan, click here!

Equipped with a 45.7-megapixel full-frame sensor, the Nikon D850 is the highest-megapixel Nikon camera yet. Further, the D850's sensor is backside-illuminated, a first for a full-frame Nikon camera. There are a lot more exciting features packed into the D850 than just the sensor upgrade, as the camera also includes the same 153-point autofocus system as is found in the Nikon D5 and D500, and the same fast EXPEED 5 image processor, which allows the D850 to shoot full-resolution images at 7 frames per second.

Read our Nikon D850 Preview to learn how fast the camera can capture shots when the optional battery grip is attached and find out more about the great new stills and video features in the D850.
