The Canon 6D Mark II was a long time coming, and we have just wrapped our review of Canon's latest full-frame DSLR camera. Is the Canon 6D II everything fans have been hoping for?

That depends. As you can see in our Print Quality Analysis, the 6D II does very well across a wide range of ISO settings. Our Performance Testing was similarly positive. However, not everything about the new DSLR is excellent. As we discussed in our first Canon 6D Mark II Field Test, there are concerns with dynamic range, and the optical viewfinder is a bit underwhelming for a $2,000 camera.

The 6D II comes with a variety of improvements to the camera body itself, including a new vari-angle touchscreen display, which works very well. The camera is also equipped with Dual Pixel CMOS AF for Live View and video recording. Speaking of video, the camera lacks 4K UHD video recording, which is one of the largest disappointments we have with the 6D II.

Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens at 340mm, f/5.6, 1/800s, ISO 500.
