Affinity Photo updated to version 1.6: Non-subscription Photoshop competitor gets even better

Affinity has announced that two of their apps, Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer, have been updated. Further, the company has also announced that in celebration of Affinity Photo 1.6 and Affinity Designer 1.6 being released, they will be giving away a lot of free content with new purchases of Affinity Photo and Designer.

Affinity Photo 1.6 is a full-fledged Photoshop competitor and with version 1.6, it has gotten even better. Affinity has added a new light user interface mode, brush stabilization, enhanced Apple Photos integration, Metal 2 optimizing for macOS High Sierra, improved zoom performance, improved performance with large documents, improved Photoshop plugin support, improved Live Filters performance and more.
