Late last week, we reported on availability of Sigma's impressive new 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art lens, the world's first f/1.8 constant aperture zoom. With an aggressive pricetag of just US$800 or so, the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 has quickened the pulses of Canon and Nikon shooters alike, and those of you who were quick to get your preorders in will likely be out shooting your new lenses within the next few weeks. The Sigma-mount variant, too, will be available from early July.

But what of Pentax and Sony shooters? You'll have to wait a little longer to get...

Back in April, Sigma unveiled its new 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art lens, the world's first f/1.8 constant aperture zoom lens. The new lens, designed for APS-C cameras, looked pretty stunning on paper, and we were eager to get our hands on a copy to see how it performs. Now, we've not only taken this lens for a spin around our test lab, albeit with a pre-production model, but we can also announce that Sigma is setting the price at a shockingly low $799!

So, how does it perform? To put it simply, we were really blown away by the...

Olympus released the 17mm f/1.8 m.Zuiko Digital in December of 2012, a faster and hardier version of its tiny 17mm f/2.8 prime for micro-four thirds. At just 9mm in width and a weight of 22 grams, the 15mm f/8 body cap lens by Olympus is probably the smallest lens we've ever tested. Its concept is surprisingly innovative: take a body cap, and put a fixed aperture lens in it. When paired with an Olympus or Panasonic micro four thirds body, the result produces a pocketable point and shoot style camera. With its extremely economical price point, we've been looking forward to testing this lens: check out our full review of the Olympus 15mm f/8 body cap lens!

Back in 2006, Sigma found an opportunity to market a lens no one else made - a telephoto zoom lens for the APS-C digital SLR camera, which provided a field of view similar to that produced by a 70-200mm on full frame. Canon announced the 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM back in February, a renewal to its popular standard zoom (and a favorite of many Canon wedding shooters). Improvements abound on many levels, but many Canon shooters will notice one major change: a big increase in the price. Does the new lens earn its keep? Click here to read our full review of the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM!
