  • Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM

    Light weght, good performance at F#2.8-8, color and contrast
    Built quality, low res. at F#1.4

    I have this lens for some time and happy with sharpness in mid F# area 2.8 - 8.0. However, I thought of better performance at F 1.4.
    Overall is a good Lens and could be even better with improved built quality -seal, focusing.

  • Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM

    Sharp, good color and contrast for all Zoom range
    Heavy

    Excellent resolution, color and contrast even on F#2.8 in mid field. With aperture from 5.6 full field is great, considering it is a Zoom.
    A bit too heavy but it makes a good return on effort to carry.
    Overall I am very happy with this Lens and will not give it away.

  • Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

    6 out of 10 points and not recommended
    Fairly light, sharp at F#8.0
    Built quality, low res. at open apertures, Zoom ring does not hold position

    I used this Lens as universal Lens for for my Canon Elan and for Canon XT
    It is a bit softer than I need. It makes sharp images with good color and contrast at apertures around f8.0.
    Zoom ring does not hold position and front of the Lens "pulled' out while carried on camera. Need a better seal.
