Nikon 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF DX AF-S Nikkor
5 out of 10 points and recommendedGood range for average shotsNot very sharp, doesn't go as wide as I'd likeThis is the lens that came with my camera. I was never a big fan of this lens. I needed something that would handle low-light situations better and the lens was never as sharp as I would have liked so ended up selling it.

Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor
10 out of 10 points and recommendedVery affordableNoneI rated this lens a 10 overall because you really can't get a nicer lens for $100. This is a very good lens for the money. It's sharp and the f/1.8 was enough for me to shoot in natural low light situations.

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical IF SP AF
8 out of 10 points and recommendedWide aperture, AffordableNot as sharp as the Nikon versionVery the price this is a very good lens. I use it for indoors in low light situations and it goes all the way down to 28mm so I can use it in tight places where I wouldn't be able to use my 50mm or my 85mm.

Tokina 12-24mm f/4 AT-X 124 AF PRO DX SD
7 out of 10 points and recommendedAffordableNoneI bought this lens for my trip to Russia and it definately got some great captures inside the museums. I don't use it as much otherwise because I primarily do portraits but this lens is fun to play with and do creative shots and landscapes/architecture.
