8 out of 10 points and recommendedThe price, the optical quality is great at 2,8 and excellent at 4 and 5,6CAs could be better controlled
I wanted to buy a Pentax 35 2,0 but they are hard to get (and expensive) in the Netherlands, then I noticed the D-Xenogon 35, did some research and determined that this must be the exact same lens as the Pentax 35.reviewed April 1st, 2009 (purchased for $265)
Optical quality is great at 2,8 and excellent at 4 and 5,6, the bokeh is ok.
The only thing that bothers me is the CA at large apentures, but when you avoid the extremes its ok.
Ofcourse the Pentax 31-1,8 is better but not that much better optical quality, when you compare the price difference (in the Netherlands),
Pentax 31-1,8 = 1200 USdollar
Pentax 35-2,0 = 475 USdollar
D Xenogon 35-2,0 = 265 USdollar
