Sigma 18-125mm f/3.5-5.6 DC
7 out of 10 points and recommendedGood range, reasonable image quality, priceI bought this lens as a reasonably priced alternative to the Canon 350D "kit" lens.

For the price, I'm a happy camper. It seems to do a good job in actual use.
I've posted a non-technical review that might be useful, just my own observations and a few sample images:

Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USM
5 out of 10 points and recommendedLight weight and compactI sometimes find myself going back to this "kit" lens for everyday use because it is light and compact, easy to carry as a general lens. Not the highest image quality, but it can produce reasonable photos. A good learning lens for first-time dslr buyers.
