Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED VR DX AF-S Nikkor
9 out of 10 points and recommendedideal when you don't know what kind of lenses your should take before to leave.loss of sharpness on the corner under f8 for my 18-200vrYour test reflect the default of my 18-200vr, tested also with dxo. So I return the lens to Nikon to confirm this point.

Another 18-200vr tested had a better result, so I believe there is a specific problem on my 18-200vr, and may be on your sample to.

8 out of 10 points and recommendednoneNot so good as the 18-200vr was. But a very good swiss knife for allround pictures.

Add 09/12/2010: I have change my first sample for a new one. And I can rate for a 9 for the len's image quality. And now this one is more performant than the 18-200vr. -

Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM APO
10 out of 10 points and recommendedI purchase this lens in july 2011.
reviewed November 27th, 2011 (purchased for $3,300)
It's an amazing zoom near equivalent to the Nikon 300mm 2.8 vr.
It is a very performant lens and more versatile than a fix for a price very competitive.
No regret at all.
